UGA Erasmus+ agreements pioneered by Geology enables 2024 Truman Scholar, Alex Drahos, exchange at Istanbul Technical University.

The University of Georgia's Geology department recently solidified one of the initial US-Turkey Erasmus+ agreements with Istanbul Technical University (ITU), fostering ongoing international collaborations. Currently, Mr. Alex Drahos, a UGA Erasmus+ exchange student, is immersed in his spring semester studies at ITU. To delve deeper into his achievements, refer to the links provided in the URL below. This milestone signifies the broadening scope of the UGA-ITU Erasmus+ program beyond geosciences, which has been fostering academic exchange among faculty, staff, and graduate students from both institutions over the past half-decade. Additionally, UGA maintains an Erasmus+ initiative with Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, which commenced in 2015. The facilitation of these agreements is credited to the UGA Office of Global Engagement, alongside Professors Paul Schroeder and Adam Milewski, in collaboration with the respective Erasmus+ offices at ITU and METU.
