Passing of Doug Dvoracek

It is with the heaviest heart to say we have lost Doug Dvoracek from a battle with cancer. Doug’s passion and great skill for teaching Geology field camp and IFP will indelibly remain in the memories of all the students he taught and anyone that worked alongside of him. His love of biking, guitars, and the care he gave to “old black dogs” will also not be forgotten. Eleanor Roosevelt is credited with saying “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift.” Please take a moment to give good thoughts and thanks to the gifts we have, amongst them the memory we will always have of Doug Dvoracek: his kindness as a friend, his love for geology, and his sharing of knowledge.
