Laura Fackrell Awarded NASA Summer Internship

UGA Geology Graduate Student, Laura Fackrell, was awarded a summer internship with NASA’s John Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. http://civspace.jhuapl.edu/.  Laura will be working on the project “Mapping Minerals in Margartifiter Terra, Mars”.  In particular, she will be performing a multi-dataset analysis and morphologic/spectroscopic comparison of layered sulfate deposits in a particular region of Mars called West Margaritifer.
