Wednesday, February 4 2026, All day Atlanta, GA. Special Event Please join us for the 4th Growing Partnerships for Essential Minerals (GEMs-IV) Workshop, February 4, 2026 in Atlanta, GA. The GEMs-IV Symposium will convene leaders from academia, industry, government, and innovation organizations across the Southeastern United States and the United Kingdom for a focused dialogue on strengthening secure, resilient, and responsible critical mineral supply chains. Hosted by the Georgia Institute of Technology, Georgia State University, University of Georgia, the Georgia Mining Association, and the British Consulate-General Atlanta, GEMs-IV builds on a growing transatlantic partnership dedicated to advancing innovation across the critical minerals value chain. Since 2024, the GEMs convenings have helped build a connected critical minerals innovation ecosystem in Georgia—linking research, industry, policy, and workforce development to support responsible and resilient mineral supply chains. This symposium expands that momentum by engaging key stakeholders from across the Southeastern U.S. alongside newly aligned partners from the United Kingdom. Through focused dialogue and partnership building, the symposium aims to strengthen transatlantic collaboration, highlight regional strengths, and accelerate innovation and translation across the critical minerals value chain—from resource characterization and processing to recycling, manufacturing, and deployment.
