Current Research Interests

Ongoing field studies in the Southern Appalachians include broadband profiling across the proposed Alleghanian suture between Laurentian and Gondwanan lithosphere, wide-angle seismic reflection profiling of the crust and upper mantle using quarry blasts, shallow surface-wave profiling of karst, shallow reflection profiling across major fault zones and barrier islands, and monitoring of regional seismicity.
